The Marvin Millsap Headquarters Building is built at the Sigma Tau Gamma founding site in Warrensburg, Missouri. The Headquarters building was completely funded by alumni gifts. Brother Marvin Millsap, Central Missouri ’27, became the namesake of the building after generously donating 40% of the building fund. Today, the staff of Fraternity and Foundation work here in service to Sigma Tau Gamma.
Chief Executive Officer
Steve Latour became the Chief Executive Officer of Sigma Tau Gamma in January 2015. The CEO of the Fraternity is employed by the Board of Directors to execute the Fraternity’s Strategic Plan. He employs a staff of well-trained individuals to aid him in accomplishing the board’s vision. As of April 23, 2016, Latour officially became a brother of Sigma Tau Gamma. Steve previously served as the Senior Director of Advancement at Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity.
In December 2016, Angela Sanders joined the HQ Staff as the Director of Finance & Human Resources. Sanders graduated from the University of Central Missouri in 2006 with a Masters in Accounting, with an emphasis in Systems and Auditing. Her primary responsibility is to provide accurate and up to date financial information for the fraternity, foundation, and housing company.
In January 2017, Kim Acree joined the HQ Staff as the Chapter Reporting & Records Management Coordinator. Acree graduated from Columbus State University, earning a degree in business. Acree joined staff with over 15 years of experience working with financing and budgeting, along with years of prior experience with OmegaFi. Her primary responsibility is to ensure that information located in OmegaFi systems are accurate and up to date.
Brett is part of the Business Operations team at Sig Tau HQ. Conrow will graduate from the University of Central Missouri in the Spring of 2017 with an undergraduate degree in Accounting and obtain his Master’s Degree in the Spring of 2018. Conrow manages accounts receivable and accounts payable, along with assisting the director of finance.
Erik Kahl joined the staff in March of 2015 as the Director of Collegiate Services. He oversees the Collegiate Services Coordinators and their roles. Kahl received a Master's of Education in Higher Education/Student Affairs with an emphasis in leadership development and learning from Iowa State in 2013. Before moving to Warrensburg, Kahl was the Student Activity Adviser for Fraternity and Sorority Life at Arizona State University.
Jake Jenkins joined the headquarters staff in January 2017 as a Collegiate Services Coordinator. Jenkins aids in coaching calls with undergraduate chapters, as well as receiving chapter reports. He will graduate from the University of Central Missouri in May 2018 , with a degree in occupational safety.
Greg Ward started in June 2016 as the Director of Communications & SAGA Editor. He graduated from the University of Alabama in May of 2016, double majoring in journalism and political science. He has written for eight different publications including magazines, newspapers, broadcast and online outlets. Greg is responsible for the new brand, SAGA Magazine, all program marketing materials and overseeing the communications department.
Jeremy attended the University of Central Missouri, graduating in May of 2016 with a degree in Graphic Design. Jeremy was an intern at Sigma Tau Gamma Headquarters in the Spring semester of 2016 before joining the team officially as our Graphic Designer on May 19, 2016.
Jesse Cromer joined the headquarters staff in August 2016 as a Collegiate Services Coordinator before becoming the Digital Media Coordinator. His primary responsibility is monitoring social media and keeping sigtau.org updated. He will graduate from the University of Central Missouri in December 2017, with a degree in safety management.
Stephen Young joined headquarters staff in May 2016 as a Communications Coordinator. He is responsible for Sigma Tau Gamma’s SAGA Monthly Newsletter, Friday Briefs and is a contributing writer and editor for the SAGA Magazine. He will graduate from the University of Central Missouri in May 2017, with a degree in marketing.
Jill Carrel was hired in July 2016 as the Associate Director of WPN Housing before transitioning to become the Director of Foundation Operations. She attended Butler University in Indianapolis earning her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Journalism where she was a sister of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity. Carrel has more than a decade of experience in fundraising and event planning for various organizations.
Membership Engagement & Growth
Adam Kowalski became a part of the HQ Team in September 2016 as the Director of Membership Engagement & Growth. Adam attended Bowling Green State University where he graduated with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies and was initiated into Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity. Upon graduation, Adam served for two years as the Coordinator of Chapter and Colony Development with Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity Headquarters. After leaving staff, he attended the University of South Florida and received his Master's Degree in College Student Administration. He is responsible for leadership programming, alumni engagement, and aiding the Recruitment & Growth team.
Dean Anderson joined the staff in July of 2015 as a recruitment and growth coordinator. During Anderson's short time here at Headquarters, he has progressed. He was promoted to Associate Director of Recruitment & Growth in 2016 and is now the Director of Recruitment & Growth. Anderson helps coordinate expansion projects, assists chapters with recruitment practices and helps aid in Sigma Tau Gamma's continued growth.
Kassi joined the staff in November 2016 as the Associate Director of Recruitment & Growth. Ward graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in May of 2016 with undergraduate degrees in both Business Management and Organizational Psychology, as well as a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Additionally, she is a member of Phi Mu Fraternity. Ward helps coordinate expansion projects, assists chapters with recruitment practices.
Angel Gonzales joined the staff as a new Recruitment and Growth Coordinator. Gonzales Graduated in May of 2016 from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication.
Jose Contreras joined HQ Staff as a Recruitment and Growth Coordinator. Contreras graduated from Pittsburg State University in May of 2015, majoring in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing.
Victor Ugarte joined the staff as a Recruitment and Growth Coordinator. Ugarte Graduated in May of 2015. Ugarte graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Secondary Education History. Ugarte was a founding father at the re-established Gamma Zeta Chapter, where he served at chapter president and later alumni adviser after his graduation. Victor’s first day was July 1, 2016.
Alek is a part of our recruitment and growth team at Sigma Tau Gamma. He was hired to staff in the fall semester of 2016. Norman will graduate from the University of Central Missouri in the Spring of 2017 with a degree in drafting and design technology.
Joe Franzoi joined headquarters staff in September 2016 as a Recruitment and Growth Coordinator. He aids in sending out expansion proposals, calling prospective schools, scheduling meetings with universities and assisting/monitoring chapters with the usage of our Chapter Builder recruitment tool. Franzoi will graduate in May 2017, from the University of Central Missouri, with a degree in Occupational Safety and Health.
WPN Housing & HQ Operations
Vanessa Ryan is our joined staff in July 2016 as the Director of Education and Standards before transitioning to become the Director of WPN Housing & HQ Operations. After receiving her undergraduate degree and becoming a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority, she graduated from Central Michigan University with a Masters of Arts Degree in Education Administration. Vanessa has over 14 years of higher education experience in supervision, training, conference and event planning. Her primary responsibility is the oversight and management of WPN properties and ensuring daily operations at the Sig Tau Headquarter Facility.
Rick Day is the Associate Director of HQ Operations. A graduate of the University of Illinois in 2014, Day was hired as a collegiate services coordinator. In December of 2015, Day was promoted to his new role as Associate Director of HQ Operations. His primary responsibilities are to ensure Sig Tau Staff stay updated with the newest technological equipment, aid in the management of WPN acquired properties, including the White Rose Pavilion and manages the Sig Tau Marketplace.
Jamie Yust is the Administrative Assistant for the Headquarters of Sig Tau. She aids in the day to day operations of headquarters facility. Jamie is currently a senior at the University of Central Missouri where she will receive a degree in marketing in May 2017.
