GRAND CONCLAVE PHOENIX – JUNE 28 – 30, 2018
Grand Conclave is perhaps best known for the House of Delegates which brings together alumni delegates and undergraduate delegates from every chartered chapter. Since 1925, the House of Delegates has held all supreme and legislative powers of the Fraternity. The House of Delegates has three main responsibilities and powers.
In addition to the House of Delegates, there will be three undergraduate tracks offered at this year’s Grand Conclave. Below is a brief description of each.
Target Audience: Sophomores, Juniors, First Time Officers
Sigma Tau Gamma has partnered with The Gallup Organization to offer the CliftonStrengths assessment. CliftonStrengths assessment is essential for empowering people to set and achieve their goals and accomplish great things. People who know and use their CliftonStrengths are:
- 6x as likely to be engaged at work
- 8% more productive in their role
- 3x as likely to have an excellent quality of life
- 6x as likely to do what they do best every day
It isn’t until people know what makes them talented and unique that they know how to perform better in their job. Or how to find one that’s a better fit. And to build better relationships and be a better teammate. And to feel like they’re improving, every single day.
Whether you’re a brother looking to improve or a leader wanting to empower your members to perform better, your efforts start with CliftonStrengths. This will be the educational program and experience that help give you every advantage in life.
Target Audience: Seniors
The Pre-Grad Track is reserved for those undergraduate men who will graduate during the 2018 – 2019 academic year. During this track, you will have the opportunity to practice your interview skills, work on your resume, and will network with alumni professionals who will provide real-world advice for life post-college.
STANDARDS BOARD TRACK
Target Audience: Standards Board Chairman
This track is offered to undergraduates who are the current Standards Board Chairman for their chapter or associate chapter. This track will offer an in-depth review of standards board procedures, policy, and implementation. Highlights of the track will be educational sanctioning, various role-playing scenarios, and understanding the importance of having a Standards Board that operates efficiently.
