New District Announced in Southern Region

Sigma Tau Gamma announces the new Southwest District in the Southern Region due to tremendous expansion efforts in Arizona and Nevada in 2014 and 2015.

With the recent announcements to expand to Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University and the University of Nevada, Erik Kahl, WCMF, Beta Kappa ¢10, will oversee these chapters as the Southwest District Director. The Epsilon Zeta Chapter at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University will also be included in the Southwest District.

Accepting a position outside of the Greak Lakes region was bittersweet,” said Kahl. œWorking to support and improve the chapters of the Great Lakes has been a great experience and I did not want to see it end. I am ecstatic that I can continue serving Sigma Tau Gamma in the Southwest and see it become one of the strongest districts.

Kahl, who graduated this May with a Master in Student Affairs at Iowa State University and served as the Lakeland District Director in the Great Lakes Region, has accepted a position at Arizona State University as the Fraternity Life Advisor.

I am excited to help move the fraternal movement at Arizona State University forward by serving more than 20 chapters and IFC as the Advisor for Fraternity Life.

Sigma Tau Gamma is looking for regional volunteers in the Great Lakes and Atlantic Coast regions. If you are interested, please contact Addison Schopp at addison@sigmataugamma.org.
