The Chapter Advisory Team is the primary body responsible for mentoring, coaching and guiding the undergraduate chapter officers. The Advisory Teams of each chapter operate separately from the Alumni Association to limit liability and access to potential assets and risks.
The Lead Advisor, appointed by Director of Alumni Engagement, serves a two-year term that runs with the timing of Grand Chapter. The Lead Advisor is assisted by Headquarters staff to recruit and build the additional team of advisors. Read more about the responsibilities of the Lead Advisor HERE.
To ensure consistency for both the Advisory Team and chapter, the terms of the Chapter Advisory Team should be staggered. There are no limits on the number of terms an advisor may serve. Except for the Lead Chapter Advisor role, the functions of the Advisory Teams require a nominal time commitment of 4-6 hours per month.
The additional advisors on the Chapter Advisory Team and their responsibilities include:
- Education Advisor
- Faculty / Scholarship Advisor
- Finance Advisor
- Member Engagement Advisor
- Recruitment Advisor
- Safety and Standards Advisor
- Parent/Family Member Advisor
