Atlanta Excursions

ENDEAVOR ATLANTA
JUNE 27 – 30, 2019

This year the Fraternity will offer several excursions that alumni, guests, and children attendees can take advantage of to explore the sites and sounds of Atlanta, GA. For those not participating in an educational track, these excursion options are sure to delight your sense of adventure and fill out your days spent with us in Atlanta.

World of Coca-Cola Tour

Explore the history of the world’s most famous beverage brand at the World of Coca-Cola; the dynamic, multimedia home of Coke’s 128-year-old secret formula. Get closer than ever to the vault that holds the secret Coca-Cola recipe. See more than 1,200 rare artifacts and get a behind-the-scenes look at the bottling process. Then take a trip around the world in a thrilling 4-D movie experience before sampling more than 100 different beverages.

This package will include your admission and transportation.

The World of Coca-Cola is about 0.4 miles from the train station.

This excursion can be done at your convenience, any time on Friday, June 28.

Georgia Aquarium Tour

Experience the beauty of one of the world’s largest aquariums with this general admission pass to the Georgia Aquarium. Get an up-close look at exotic marine life, learn about aquatic habitats, and check out one of the most diverse examples of oceanic life in the world. This admission option is for travelers who want to experience the thrill of underwater nature without ever getting wet.

This package will include your admission and transportation.

The train station is about 0.5 miles from the aquarium.

This excursion can be done at your convenience between 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM on Friday, June 28.

CNN Atlanta Studio Tour

This CNN Atlanta guided tour meets at the CNN Center. Take your paper voucher to the tour office for a timed studio tour admission ticket. On your tour, you’ll see how CNN news broadcasts are made. You’ll visit the main studios and newsrooms for CNN’s news channels.

As your guide leads you through the building, you’ll learn about the founder, Ted Turner, and how he created the first 24-hour news network in the US. You’ll also look at a special-effects studio for creating weather maps and other on-air graphics, and learn how the video, sound, and special effects happen. Then, you can play a news anchor. Sit at a CNN anchor desk and pose with a microphone for a souvenir photo. Your tour ends where it started, and from there you can explore the rest of the CNN Center or visit other downtown Atlanta attractions.
