Noble Knight Chapter Challenge

How it Works

The Noble Knight Chapter Challenge
The Sigma Tau Gamma Foundation is excited to invite brothers and friends of Sig Tau to participate in the third annual Noble Knight Chapter Challenge! This March Madness style giving challenge is a chance for our active chapters to raise money for their Chapter Fund. Similar to tournament-style game play with head-to-head matchups, multiple rounds, and great prizes to our top chapters, we’re putting some FUN in fundraising for our members this March.

The Format
Join us for this tournament style giving challenge focused on brotherly competition. All 60 active chapters of Sig Tau are invited to participate. New this year – we’ve also added a “Closed Chapter” team to allow inactive chapters a chance to join in the challenge!

All donations will be made and tracked through CrowdChange, an online fundraising platform that provides multiple functions and allows us to follow chapter progress in real time. Check out the campaign here.

Money raised is in direct support of our members with all donations going to Chapter Funds. A Chapter Fund is a restricted account in the Foundation that may be used only for a particular chapter, meaning that if you donate to your chapter’s fund, it may only be used for your chapter! This campaign is a great way to increase the amount of money chapters have available for educational purposes like awarding scholarships and attending national leadership programs.

The Rounds
Round 1: March 13 – March 19
Round 1 starts with 61 teams. All teams have one week to raise as much as they can for Chapter Funds. Alumni, undergrads, friends of Sig Tau – anyone can give! The top 15 teams on each side of the bracket that raise the most advance to the next round.

Round 2: March 20 – March 26
Round 2 narrows the field down to 30 teams. Same goal as before – one week for chapters to fundraise as much as possible! Only the 5 highest fundraising chapters from each side move to the final round.

Round 3: March 27 – April 2
Round 3 is the final round with 10 teams in the competition. One week left to rally donors and raise money for chapters to use on educational initiatives. At the end of the week, one winner from each side of the bracket will be selected.

NEW – The Wild Card Race
Did your chapter get knocked out of competition in one of the rounds? That’s okay because you’re still in the game! Introducing our new WILD CARD RACE. As teams get eliminated, they enter the wild card group and continue to compete for one of our grand prizes. We believe in second chances – and by continuing to fundraise, one of our second chance teams will be rewarded.

The Winners
On Monday, April 3, we will announce the three overall winnings chapters. Chapters will select an exclusive Sig Tau gift that best fits their chapter culture and needs from a variety of prize options!
