Board of Managers

The WPN Board of Managers helps govern the WPN National Housing Company. Managers have a working knowledge of the management of housing operations including governance, financial management, property management and knowledge of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. All members of the WPN Board of Managers are firmly committed to helping WPN achieve goals in property acquisition, financial management, and operating with sound policy and procedure.

Scott Troester

Truman State WPN Board Chairman

As our 30th National President (1998-2000) R. Scott Troester provided visionary leadership to the enactment of universal general liability insurance for all chapters. Scott has remained active in the Fraternity since his initiation at Beta Chapter in 1978. Scott is a third-generation Sig Tau, following his father, grandfather, and his grandfather’s brother. Scott’s son and nephew are also brothers. Scott has served in various regional leadership roles and on the Board of Directors from 1992 to 2004. Scott and Judy Troester live in suburban Kansas City.

Tim Anderson

Nebraska Kearney WPN Board Member

Tim Anderson has been involved as an alumnus of Sigma Tau Gamma since his 1989 graduation from the University of Nebraska Kearney. An initiated member of the Beta Chi Chapter, Tim joined the fraternity professional staff in 1989 and served for two years. He later participated in several regional and national positions including being elected to the Sigma Tau Gamma Board of Directors.

Professionally, Anderson is the Vice President of Sales for AMC Theatres. AMC is the largest movie exhibition company in the United States, the largest in Europe, and the largest throughout the world with approximately 950 theatres and 10,500 screens across the globe. He has over 30 years of executive leadership.

He has two girls attending college and is married to his wife Cathy.

Doug Bernier

Central Missouri WPN Board Member

Doug attended the University of Central Missouri and joined Alpha Chapter where he served as Chapter President. In 1999, he joined the Fraternity's professional staff and served for two years as Director of Chapter Development. As an alumnus, Doug served as president of the Alpha Alumni Association for two years. At the national level, Doug served for many years as a Sigma Tau Gamma Foundation Trustee, regional vice president, district director, chapter counselor, and in various committee positions. Doug is a proud legacy whose father, three uncles, and two cousins are all brothers.

Professionally, Doug has spent the past 20 years in the financial industry where he is currently an executive specializing in electronic payments. Additionally, Doug is part owner of a residential investment company where he fulfills his passion for real estate.

Doug resides in Omaha, Nebraska with his wife and three children.

John Heiman, MBA

Central Missouri WPN Board Member, Audit & Finance

John Heiman has been involved as an alumnus of Sigma Tau Gamma since his graduation in 1984. He joined the fraternity's professional staff in 1985 where he served as the Director Chapter Service until 1987. In this capacity, John visited many colleges and universities throughout the country servicing chapters including the direct inspection of chapter housing. Since 1987, he has served in various volunteer positions including 16 years on the fraternity’s board where he was elected as the 32nd National President in 2002.

Professionally, Heiman is a marketing executive at Sprint. Over the past 30 years, he has held a variety of positions ranging from product management to strategic planning. In his spare time, he has overseen the building and renovation of several homes in the Kansas City area.

He has two children and is married to his wife Cathy.

Jim Martin

Missouri S&T WPN Board Member

Jim began his term on the WPN Board of Managers in July 2020. Initiated into the Alpha Omega Chapter at Missouri S&T in 1973, he graduated in 1975. Jim’s father and uncle were both in the Alpha Chapter in the late 1940s. Upon receiving his BS in Aerospace Engineering Jim left Missouri for 40 years, entering U.S. Naval Aviation as an Officer in Pensacola, FL, and serving for 22 years including 7 combat theaters. His post-Naval career included national security counter-terrorism work. Jim returned to his birthplace of Kansas City, MO in 2015 and eagerly reconnected with his Chapter in Rolla. Jim and his Senior High prom date (now wife) Karen live in Kansas City. Jim enjoys long trail runs and bicycle rides, rock climbing, woodworking, and playing percussion with various groups. Their two sons live in Virginia and New York City.

Addison Schopp

Truman State WPN Board Member

Addison began his term on the WPN Board of Managers in June at the 2018 Grand Conclave in Phoenix, Arizona. Addison was initiated into the Beta Chapter at Truman State in 2006 and was a professional Headquarters Staff member from 2008 - 2014. He also served as Beta Alumni Association Secretary and the Chapter Advisor for the Epsilon Chi Chapter at Auburn, playing a pivotal role in the chapter receiving housing accommodations. Addison is currently the Director of Partner Success at Omega Financial.

Thomas W. Harris, J.D.

Pittsburg State WPN General Counsel

Tom served as Epsilon Chapter President twice, in addition to his service in other chapter offices, and was chosen as Dent Man of the Year in 1983. He graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1986 and was admitted to practice law in Kansas in 1986 and in Missouri in 1987. Tom has been married to Pamela S. Harris, M.D., a hospice physician, since 1987. He has been extensively involved in Epsilon Chapter housing operations and alumni relations for in excess of 15 years. He was awarded the Winebrenner Medal for Distinguished Fraternity Service in 2016 and is a member of the Grip & Token Society.

Professionally, Brother Harris is the senior member of Harris Law Offices LLC in Roeland Park, Kansas, where he engages in a general practice of law primarily focused on business and property issues.
