Board of Managers

The WPN Board of Managers helps govern the WPN National Housing Company. Managers have a working knowledge of the management of housing operations including governance, financial management, property management and knowledge of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. All members of the WPN Board of Managers are firmly committed to helping WPN achieve goals in property acquisition, financial management, and operating with sound policy and procedure.

W.P. “Buz” Barlow, Jr., JD

UW – Oshkosh WPN Board Member, Chairman

Buz Barlow has served Sigma Tau Gamma in many capacities. He is a past President of both the National Fraternity and Foundation (Emeriti Trustee) and is a Society of the Seventeen member. He has been a recipient of the Dent Man of the Year, Marvin Millsap Medal for Distinguished Foundation Service and has been a Distinguished Morris Fellow.

Professionally, Barlow is the founder and board chairman of Open Range Global Advisors, an international real estate and venture capital consultancy headquartered in Dallas, Texas.

Lyn Heermann

Central Missouri WPN Board Member

Lyn began his term on the WPN Board of Managers in April of 2017. Lyn was initiated into the Alpha Chapter at the University of Central Missouri in 1977 and served as Alpha Chapter President in 1979.

Professionally, Heermann is Vice President of Contracts Administration and Procurement at UMB Financial Corporation in Kansas City, MO where he has worked for over 37 years.

Lyn and his wife Diane live in rural Grain Valley, MO.

John Heiman, MBA

Central Missouri WPN Board Member, Audit & Finance

John Heiman has been involved as an alumnus of Sigma Tau Gamma since his graduation in 1984. He joined the fraternity's professional staff in 1985 where he served as the Director Chapter Service until 1987. In this capacity, John visited many colleges and universities throughout the country servicing chapters including the direct inspection of chapter housing. Since 1987, he has served in various volunteer positions including 16 years on the fraternity’s board where he was elected as the 32nd National President in 2002.

Professionally, Heiman is a marketing executive at Sprint. Over the past 30 years, he has held a variety of positions ranging from product management to strategic planning. In his spare time, he has overseen the building and renovation of several homes in the Kansas City area.

He has two children and is married to his wife Cathy.

Addison Schopp

Truman State WPN Board Member

Addison began his term on the WPN Board of Managers in June at the 2018 Grand Conclave in Phoenix, Arizona. Addison was initiated into the Beta Chapter at Truman State in 2006 and was a professional Headquarters Staff member from 2008 - 2014. He also served as Beta Alumni Association Secretary and the Chapter Advisor for the Epsilon Chi Chapter at Auburn, playing a pivotal role in the chapter receiving housing accommodations. Addison is currently the Director of Partner Success at Omega Financial.

Andrew St. Clair

Georgia WPN Board Member

Andrew began his term on the WPN Board of Managers in June 2018. Andrew was initiated into the Eta Delta Chapter at the University of Georgia in 1984 and served as President in 1986. Andrew also serves as an alumni advisor to Zeta Beta Chapter at the University of Cincinnati. Professionally, Andrew has worked in the field of commercial real estate for thirty years, and is presently Vice President and Director of Asset Management for a Cincinnati based commercial real estate development and investment company. Andrew resides in Mason, Ohio with his wife Julie and two sons.

Scott Troester

Truman State WPN Board Member

As our 30th National President (1998-2000) R. Scott Troester provided visionary leadership to the enactment of universal general liability insurance for all chapters. Scott has remained active in the Fraternity since his initiation at Beta Chapter in 1978. Scott is a third-generation Sig Tau, following his father, grandfather, and his grandfather’s brother. Scott’s son and nephew are also brothers. Scott has served in various regional leadership roles and on the Board of Directors from 1992 to 2004. Scott and Judy Troester live in suburban Kansas City.
