In the spring of 2018, the Sigma Tau Gamma Headquarters including the Fraternity, Foundation, and WPN Housing Company officially moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. The new Sigma Tau Gamma Headquarters was open to the public on May 4, 2018. Before relocating to Indianapolis, The Marvin Millsap Headquarters Building was built at the Sigma Tau Gamma founding site in Warrensburg, Missouri. The Headquarters building was completely funded by alumni gifts. Brother Marvin Millsap, Central Missouri ’27, became the namesake of the building after generously donating 40% of the building fund.
Chief Executive Officer
Brother Buz Barlow was named Chief Executive Officer of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity, Foundation, and WPN Housing Company in July 2022. He has served nearly every role as a national volunteer for Sig Tau, being on the Fraternity Board of Directors and was elected as the 20th National President; he served as Chairman of the Foundation Board of Trustees and as the first Chairman of the WPN Board of Managers. He is the only Sig Tau to chair all three entities. He a recipient of the Winebrenner Distinguished Fraternity Service Award, the Millsap Distinguished Foundation Service Medal, and the second recipient ever of the Ellsworth C. Dent Man of the Year Award. He was inducted into the honorable Society of the Seventeen in 1990 and received the NIC Alumnus Award of Distinction in 2021.
Prior to serving as CEO, Barlow is an accomplished lawyer and entrepreneur. He is a Founder and Senior partner of his law firm and served as either President or Founder of at least eight other corporate and nonprofit entities. He has been responsible for establishing microenterprise banks in the Third World and directing initiatives aimed at education and self-sufficiency for the poor while frequently speaking on the necessity of conscious capitalism partnerships between business and nonprofit enterprises. Buz has served as Special Counsel to the President of World Vision, the world’s largest Christian ministry, operating in over 100 countries with an annual budget in excess of $1 billion.
In December 2016, Angela Sanders joined the HQ Staff as the Director of Finance & Human Resources. Sanders graduated from the University of Central Missouri in 2006 with a Master of Arts Degree in Accountancy, with an emphasis in Systems and Auditing. Her primary responsibility is to provide accurate and up to date financial information for the Fraternity, Foundation, and WPN Housing Company.
Jill joined Headquarters in December 2021 as a Data Entry Specialist for the Finance Team. Her responsibilities are entering chapter billing, invoices for Fraternity, Foundation, and WPN Housing, as well as support to the Director of Finance & Human Resources. Jill comes with years of experience as a high level administrative assistant, HR Director, and business owner.
Lindsay joined Headquarters in April 2019 as an Administrative Assistant. Her responsibilities include providing administrative support for the Fraternity, Housing Company, and Foundation. She serves as the first point of contact at Headquarters. Lindsay has worked in on the business side of healthcare and in procurement in the parking technology industry. She has an Associate Degree in Health Care Business Serves and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Health Care Administration.
Adam Kowalski joined the HQ team in September 2016 as the Director of Membership Engagement & Growth. Adam transitioned to become the Director of Collegiate Services in 2017 and later into his current role in 2018. As Director of Fraternity Operations, he oversees the collegiate experience, the Fraternity's recruitment and growth efforts, and works daily with our undergraduate members in the chapters. Adam attended Bowling Green State University where he graduated with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies and was initiated into Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity. He attended the University of South Florida and received his Master of Arts Degree in College Student Administration.
Angel first joined the HQ Staff as a Recruitment & Growth Coordinator in June 2016, completing several expansion projects, including Black Hills State, Henderson State, and helping with Colorado State. He then transitioned to the role of Associate Director of WPN Housing Operations and finally as Associate Director of Alumni Engagement. As Associate Director of Collegiate Services, he coaches chapters, assists with national programming, and aids in member safety and wellness.
Madison joined the Headquarters Staff in December 2021 as the Assistant Director of Chapter Services. In this role, she coaches chapters on a weekly basis, ensures chapters are operating efficiently, and assists in the brotherhood of the chapter. Madison received her undergraduate degree from Austin Peay State University, and her master's in higher education and administration from Auburn University. Additionally, she is a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.
Greg Ward started working on HQ Staff in June 2016 as the Associate Director of Communications before becoming the Director of Communications & SAGA Editor in December 2016. He graduated from the University of Alabama in May of 2016, double majoring in journalism and political science and earned his Master of Arts Degree in Advertising & Public Relations in 2019. He has written for five different publications including magazines, newspapers, broadcast, and online outlets. Greg is responsible for the Sig Tau brand, SAGA Magazine, all program marketing materials, and overseeing the communications department.
Jeremy joined HQ Staff as a Graphic Designer in May of 2016 before he became the Creative Director in December 2016. He graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design. Jeremy is responsible for maintaining the latest design trends and confirming that all promotional materials created meet the current brand guidelines and standards of Sigma Tau Gamma.
Greg joined the Headquarters Staff in 2022 as the Digital Communications Specialist. Greg is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and has worked for two different fraternity organizations before Sig Tau. He served as an expansion consultant for Phi Delta Theta and as communications coordinator for Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity. Greg is responsible for the Sig Tau website, the Sig Tau Archives, and the Sig Tau Marketplace.
Ashley joined HQ Staff in October of 2019 as the Director of Foundation Operations. Ashley has a wealth of experience in nonprofit communications, grant proposals, assessment, fundraising events, and campaigns. She is a graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Writing and a minor in Organizational Leadership and Supervision. She completed her Masters of Science degree in Communication with a concentration in Strategic Communication & PR in 2020. Ashley also holds certifications in Nonprofit Executive Leadership and Strategic Communications Management.
WPN Housing Operations
Thomas joined the Sig Tau Staff in January 2023 as the WPN Property Manager. He attended the University of North Texas and was initiated into the Delta Theta Chapter. Serving the Delta Theta Chapter as executive vice president, Johnson helped manage all aspects of housing for the fraternity. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and his Real Estate Brokers License, he has managed residential and commercial properties for nearly 30 years. Thomas is responsible for developing and managing the houses in the WPN Housing portfolio
