Spring Recruitment Is Already Underway
CARMEL, INDIANA – Spring recruitment isn’t something that begins later in the semester—it’s happening right now. As Noble Men return to campus and potential new members settle into their spring semester, chapters have an opportunity to make meaningful connections early. The chapters that thrive in the spring are the ones acting with intention during the fall, and build on those relationships leading into the spring. Every new member strengthens the brotherhood, sustains chapter operations, and ensures that Sig Tau continues to grow for generations to come.
Why Spring Recruitment Matters for Everyone
Spring recruitment plays a crucial role for each chapter. For undergraduates, it brings in new energy, new leaders, and new perspectives. For alumni, it ensures the organization they helped build continues to grow. For families and friends of Sig Tau, it represents the ongoing development of young men committed to the values of learning, integrity, excellence, leadership, citizenship, and brotherhood. Encouraging strong spring recruitment means supporting the continued success of an organization that shapes men of integrity and purpose.

Turning Preparation Into Action
Directors of recruitment returned from Webb Academy equipped with strategies and tools designed to elevate the recruitment experience. Now that the semester is underway, those lessons should be guiding real action. A strong recruitment plan that is written, shared, understood, and executed by the entire chapter creates clarity and accountability. Effective plans outline clear goals, realistic timelines, expectations for outreach and follow-up, scheduled events, and one-on-one conversations, as well as regular check-ins to measure progress. Preparation sets the foundation, but action drives results.
Recruitment Is a Shared Responsibility
It is rare that a chapter succeeds in recruitment solely through the effort of one person. Recruitment is a chapter-wide commitment, and every brother plays a role in shaping the future of Sig Tau. When members understand what effective recruitment looks like and how their individual contributions matter, the process becomes more intentional and impactful.

Setting the Tone for the Semester
Spring recruitment is already in motion, and the actions taken now will shape the rest of the semester. There are Sig Taus walking around on campus right now waiting for a Noble Man to invite them to join. By applying the tools from Webb Academy, engaging every member, and approaching recruitment with intention, chapters can build momentum that lasts well beyond the spring semester. Whether you’re an undergraduate, an alumnus, a parent, or a friend of Sig Tau, your encouragement and support help fuel this important work. Strong recruitment strengthens the brotherhood, enriches the campus experience, and ensures that Sigma Tau Gamma continues to grow for future generations.
