WARRENSBURG, MISSOURI – Sigma Tau Gamma HQ Director of Recruitment and Growth Dean Anderson, Purdue, departed from the Fraternity Staff on January 19.

Anderson joined the HQ team immediately following his graduation from Purdue University in July 2015. He began his role as a Recruitment & Growth Coordinator and was responsible for restarting a chapter at Missouri State University (Omega Chapter) and Western Michigan University (Chi Chapter) in his first semester. The following summer, Dean was promoted to Associate Director of Recruitment & Growth and began managing a staff of four. Dean and his team then led expansion efforts at Arizona, California-Merced, Colorado State, Frostburg State, and Nevada-Reno. In the spring of 2017, Dean was promoted to Director of Recruitment & Growth.

During his tenure, Dean was, directly and indirectly, responsible for the Fraternity adding 18 new chapters and associate chapters to Sigma Tau Gamma. His efforts will be felt long into the future as Dean secured future expansion at 21 campuses in the next three years. His ability to build strong relationships with fraternity and sorority advisors across the country and his passion for Sigma Tau Gamma was one of the reasons the Fraternity was able to secure so many future expansions.

“I will always cherish the time, the people, and the experience that I’ve had during my tenure on Sig Tau Staff. I am so thankful for the countless students, alumni, and professionals that I’ve been able to meet and form friendships with,” Anderson reflected. “I don’t think that I could have seen myself develop professionally or personally as much as I have in this role anywhere else.”

“Dean’s presence around the office is going to be greatly missed. He not only served as a great ambassador for Sigma Tau Gamma, he was a powerful team player. During his tenure, he carried on the great tradition started by former HQ Staff Members Michael Smoll, Emporia State and others to build relationships with Fraternity and Sorority Advisors and expand the Fraternity footprint,” said Chief Executive Officer Steve Latour. “Not only has he created the opportunity for more men to experience Sig Tau, he has left us all with the gift of an even stronger more ‘national’ fraternity and for that, I am deeply grateful.”

Anderson looks forward to his continued involvement in Sig Tau as a valuable member, Foundation donor, and future advisor and volunteer from his new home in Denver, Colorado where he began his new role as a Weight Loss Consultant for Metabolic Research Center this week and will begin his Master’s Degree program in Nutrition in the fall.
