Haire Departs Staff After a Year of Recruitment Success
INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – Recruitment and Growth Coordinator, Joey Haire, Winona State, has departed the Sigma Tau Gamma Headquarters Staff. Haire is taking a new position in Outside Sales with ADP near Minneapolis, MN.
“I served as a Chapter President, attended Webb Academy, and know many alumni who serve the fraternity nationally, so I thought I understood how the national fraternity worked. With a presence on 85 campuses, it is a pretty complex operation. Everyone keeps very busy trying to do as much as possible to support our undergraduate members, raise funds, and provide housing. One of the things I didn’t expect was the family relationship shared among the staff members. Regardless of whether I was in Warrensburg or out on the road my fellow staff members cared about me, checked in on me, and helped to make my time on staff great,” Haire said. “I am so thankful for the many places I was able to visit and the hundreds of undergraduates I was able to meet across the country. It was an experience I will never forget! There is not a doubt in the world, I will continue to play an active role as a volunteer for my chapter and find a way to serve the organization nationally. My involvement is just getting started.”
Haire joined the Headquarters Staff in for a one year term in May of 2017 after graduating from Winona State University. While on Staff, Haire was responsible for expansion efforts on several campuses including Minnesota Moorhead, Carroll, Ohio State, Texas Tech, and Colorado Boulder. His ability to attract guys to the fraternity who never thought they would be in a Greek organization was just one of the qualities he brought to the position.
“Joey was an excellent addition to the staff during his tenure,” said Director of Collegiate Services Adam Kowalski. “With Joey’s efforts, we are now able to say that we have added four new associate chapters to our membership ranks. Joey was an excellent representation of the Winona State Chapter and all brothers of Sigma Tau Gamma. The organization will forever be in a better place, with more brothers because of his contributions to the Sig Tau Staff.”
Chief Executive Officer Steve Latour said, “Anytime I can get a high caliber member to join the Headquarters team, even for a year it is worth it. Joey was a get things done guy – whether he was on the road or in the office, all of us could count on him to make things happen. For his efforts and work to advance the Fraternity, I will always be grateful.
While at Winona State, Haire was a member of the Beta Xi Chapter and served as Chapter President.
Haire’s last day on Staff was March 30.
