INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Earlier this week, a brotherhood message from 40th National President Jim Johnston, Carnegie Mellon, was published announcing Grand Conclave Kansas City will be postponed. The Fraternity Board of Directors and Headquarters Staff have monitored the updates surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and how this virus has affected millions of Americans and thousands of brothers.

The decision to postpone Grand Conclave Kansas City was made after countless conversations among the Directors regarding what would be best for Sigma Tau Gamma and its’ members. In the process, the Fraternity Board of Directors consulted with professionals in higher education, the local hospitality industry, trusted legal counsel, and monitored updates from the local, state, and national level about COVID-19.

Sigma Tau Gamma Headquarters Staff is diligently working to restructure national programming for this upcoming year, are in discussions with our hotel liaison for future program dates, and are collaborating with ideas to virtually celebrate 100 years of brotherhood on June 28, 2020. Additional details will be available within the next 30 days.

At our core, Sigma Tau Gamma would not be where it is today without the support of our brothers – and our members always come first. While this decision was not easy, it is one that was made for the health and safety of our members and friends of Sig Tau. As leaders of Sigma Tau Gamma, we will continue to do our best by each member in every decision made.
