Meet the 44th National President, Brother Jason Fanning

CARMEL, INDIANA – Brother Jason Fanning, Delta ’92, was elected as the 44th National President of Sigma Tau Gamma at Grand Conclave Charlotte 2026. As he serves now as president-elect, Brother Fanning brings decades of experience with Delta Chapter, a passion for developing young men, and a desire to give back to the Fraternity that has given him so much.

Finding a Home in Sig Tau

Brother Fanning’s Sig Tau journey began at Emporia State University, where his decision came down to two fraternities. What ultimately set Sig Tau apart was the way the members treated him. “They picked me up for events, checking in on me, and genuinely cared for me before becoming a brother” shared Brother Fanning.

Many of the Sig Taus Brother Fanning met at Delta Chapter were in his wedding, and the group still gathers several times a year for “Delta Dinners”. When Delta Chapter needed someone to step up following the passing of its longtime advisor in 2020, Brother Fanning answered the call to stay involved with the chapter.

That same desire eventually brought him to the national level. After being encouraged to apply for a position on the national board, Brother Fanning was elected in 2024 as a Director at Large. Two years later, he was elected President-Elect in Charlotte.

Carrying the Tradition Forward

As he looks ahead to his time as national president, Brother Fanning hopes members feel a strong sense of belonging and have a place where they can grow. He believes Sig Tau should enhance the college experience while providing members with relationships and a support system that lasts long after graduation.

“It’s not that Sig Tau necessarily needs them, but they need Sig Tau in order to be successful during their time in college” he said. That lifelong connection is what Brother Fanning hopes to continue building and his message to members is to find a way to stay involved.

Whether it’s returning to your chapter, attending Homecoming, volunteering, sharing your talents or supporting the Fraternity, everyone has something to give. “We all have stories why Sig Tau means so much to us, so pay that forward” shared Brother Fanning.

Brother Fanning’s journey is a reminder that Sigma Tau Gamma doesn’t end at graduation. The relationships, traditions and opportunities to serve can last a lifetime. Now, he’s ready to help carry that tradition forward.
