WARRENSBURG, MISSOURI – CEO Emeritus William P. “Bill” Bernier of Warrensburg, Missouri has retired after nearly forty-two years of service to Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. His last day on staff was January 31, 2015.

Bill Bernier accrued considerable distinction as the Chief Executive Officer of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity and Foundation, a vocational and leadership organization. Under the guidance of Bill Bernier, Kent State ’70, Sigma Tau Gamma initiated over 35,000 new members and installed 51 chapters across the nation.

Sigma Tau Gamma held a retirement party for Bill on December 11 at the White Rose Pavilion in Warrensburg, Missouri. Nearly 100 family members, friends, and community leaders stopped by the evening reception to thank Bill for his service to the community. Bill’s longtime friend and Missouri State Senator David Pearce attended the event and presented Bill with a resolution commemorating his service to the city of Warrensburg and the State of Missouri.

Bill Bernier applied the knowledge, skills, and experiences gained from his time with the Boy Scouts of America towards building a financially sound fraternity. Bill has made a point to remain very active in the local community of Warrensburg, as well as the interfraternal community. Bill holds the credentials of a Certified Association Executive from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), is a past president of the Kansas City Society of Association Executives (KCSAE) and the Fraternity Executives Association (FEA), and is a Gold Medal recipient from the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC).

Bill Bernier is proud to be known as the beloved husband of Wendy Bernier; loving father of Elaine and Derryan Derrough, Andy and Ashley Bernier; and a wonderful grandfather of Jordan, Joel, and Elliot.

While we know that Bill will be involved in future volunteer roles with the Fraternity. We would like to thank Bill for his service and his long-lasting impact on our organizations.
