Alumni Group Reconnects After More than a Year

Though the Gamma Delta Chapter at Mansfield University has closed, a robust alumni group continues to thrive. For the first time in nearly two years, more than 70 brothers gathered for a warm reunion weekend in scenic Mansfield, Pennsylvania.

Due to COVID-19, these men missed a chance to gather in person last year ā€“ and there was much for the group to catch up on. The brothers of the Gamma Delta Chapter enjoyed the familiar feeling of brotherhood and camaraderie.

But it wasnā€™t all about reminiscing and relaxing. Mansfield University President, Dr. Charles Patterson, joined the event to share updates on the university and presented $10,000 in raised funds by the alumni association for scholarships to the school.

Alumni brothers also led a number of learning sessions on topics including recruitment, scholarships, and engagement with the brotherhood and how the alumni association plays a role. Looking to the future of this group, all are excited to pass the torch to the next generation of leaders. Bob Rist, who was awarded for his service as the president of the alumni association for the last 4 years, gave sincere and heartfelt praise to the work this group continues to do.

These brothers and their link exemplify the idea that once a Sig Tau, always a Sig Tau. Their lifelong connection continues on, bringing them together year after year, building new relationships, and strengthening old ones. As they pass the reigns of the alumni association to a new team of young leaders, we know their good work and commitment will continue.

Support the Founders Day Challenge today to help young men realize the bond of brotherhood, like our Mansfield University brothers, and learn that you are truly a Sig Tau for life.
