As an organization, Sigma Tau Gamma focuses on Webb Academy every January. The annual program is designed to bring together executive cabinet members from each chapter and associate chapter. Webb Academy provides the time and space to become more effective leaders, develop personal and officer goals and design a framework for chapter success. Facilitators play a pivotal role in the experience, and can make it one that students will never forget. After Webb Academy this year, we sat down with small group facilitator and regional coach Nik Stepnitz, Western Michigan, about the impact of the program.

Q: As a facilitator, what do you look forward to the most about being at Webb Academy?
A: Every year I am excited to meet the next generation of Sig Tau leaders. Building connections and relationships with them while also helping guide them in their journey of becoming the quality leaders in their chapters embodies the Principle of brotherhood. 

Q: What was your favorite part of Webb Academy this year?
A: My favorite part of Webb Academy is seeing the difference from start to finish with how much undergraduate young men are engaged. Some come in and are more quiet and are hesitant about the whole thing. By the end of Webb Academy it is amazing to see excited they are to get back to their chapter and influence positive change. 

Q: What was one of the most impactful parts of the directors of recruitment track to you this year?
A: Directors of recruitment learned the most efficient process to recruit quality young men to their chapters. Of that, I think learning how to grow their prospective pool of potential new members and the process of narrowing it down to find the excellent men at their universities will have an immediate impact. 

Q: From experiencing Webb Academy as an undergraduate just a couple of years ago to now shaping the next generation of leaders, what does that mean to you?
A: Webb Academy has continued to grow and evolve over the last few years and the impact that it has on chapters gives them every possible resource to build an environment that fosters the growth and development of young men. The evolution of the program is one I am proud to be a part of.
