146th Chapter Chartered at Cincinnati

cincinnatiCINCINNATI, OHIO – On Saturday, January 23, National President Alyx Parker, Illinois ’94, officially installed the Zeta Beta Chapter at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. The Zeta Beta Associate Chapter was installed on November 13, 2013. Since its inception, the chapter has initiated 55 men, 43 of whom are currently undergraduate members.

The chartering ceremony took place in the West Pavilion of Cincinnati’s Nippert Football Stadium with over one hundred people in attendance, including local alumni and more than two-dozen parents and family members.

During the ceremony, Joey Storey, Cincinnati ’14 was given a $250 scholarship presented by Foundation Trustee Secretary Paul Mueller, Cleveland State ’67 from the new Cincinnati Chapter Endowment. Storey was chosen by his peers and received the scholarship for his extraordinary service and his instrumental role in the creation and development of the Zeta Beta Chapter. $1,265.00 was contributed by those in attendance to be added to the new chapter endowment. The endowment will be used for educational programs and scholarships.

Other notable attendees include Chief Executive Officer Steve Latour, Associate Director of Business Operations Rick Day, Illinois ’12, and Zeta Beta Chapter Lead Advisor Doug Haman, Miami ’92.
