Zeta Psi Chapter Celebrates Recruitment Momentum

CARMEL, INDIANA – Before the semester even began, brothers of the Zeta Psi Chapter at Colorado Boulder had already sent more than 1,400 text messages and that early push is now translating into one of their strongest recruitment efforts. This past fall, the chapter welcomed 29 new members and has recruited 12 new members this spring. With 365/recruitment, the Zeta Psi Chapter share they are on track toward their goal of reaching 100 members by the end of the year.

The chapter attributes its momentum to an organized recruitment plan. Heading into the fall semester, members focused on early outreach, ensuring Sig Tau’s name was on potential new member’s mind before they arrived on campus. During orientation, the chapter opened its house to freshmen, creating a welcoming space for new students to meet brothers and learn about the Fraternity.

For spring recruitment, members shifted their approach by renting a nearby restaurant, offering potential new members an opportunity to connect with brothers outside the traditional fraternity‑house setting. The chapter shared that this helped spark more genuine conversations and broadened interest among potential new members.

One of Zeta Psi Chapter’s most distinctive recruitment tools is its structured preference‑night interviews. Rather than relying solely on casual conversation, the chapter invites potential new members to discuss their values, strengths, communication skills, and goals in a more intentional setting. Members say these interviews allow them to better understand each student’s character and compatibility with the chapter.

With thoughtful planning, consistent communication, and a brotherhood‑focused mindset, the Zeta Psi Chapter has positioned itself as one of the fastest‑growing fraternities within its IFC community, as well as within Sigma Tau Gamma. Members believe their success this year highlights what can happen when a chapter unites behind a shared vision and commits to the work required to achieve it.
