INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – Sigma Tau Gamma will officially open the fraternity’s new Headquarters in Indianapolis with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony hosted by the Sigma Tau Gamma Board of Directors in conjunction with the Headquarters Staff on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at 2:30 p.m. ET. The new Headquarters is located at 8741 Founders Road, Indianapolis, IN 46268-1338.

In June 2017, after a thorough two-year review, the Board of Directors announced the relocation of its entire Sigma Tau Gamma organization, which includes the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity, Sigma Tau Gamma Foundation, and WPN National Housing Company, from Warrensburg, MO to Indianapolis. Ten full-time employees have relocated to Indianapolis.

“After months of hard work, I am proud to open the Sigma Tau Gamma Headquarters Building in Indianapolis,” said Jonathan Proehl, 39th National President of the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity Board of Directors. “This move marks an era of growth and collaboration for our entire organization as we work towards our vision of building noble generations of men. We expect the number of full-time staff to grow to more than 30 by 2025. Relocating to Indianapolis will boost relations with Panhellenic and Interfraternity communities also headquartered in Indianapolis.” Sigma Tau Gamma will also move its annual Webb Academy, the fraternity’s three-day intense leadership training and networking program for undergraduate officers, to Indianapolis beginning in January of 2019. The program will bring more than 500 members to town annually. Additionally, all of the national boards plan to meet in Indianapolis annually.

“This is a place where history will be made and recorded for generations,” said Chief Executive Officer Steve Latour. “Our new home will serve as a place to gather, learn, and exemplify the fraternity’s nearly 100-year-old ritual. I look forward to seeing what we achieve here to give our undergraduate and alumni members across the nation the best fraternity experience possible.”

The new headquarters offers training, ritual, and meeting space members can use, as well as a dedicated museum to showcase the fraternity’s rich history and preserve Sig Tau artifacts, including the Fireplace where the fraternity’s 17 founding fathers gathered in June 1920 to establish the fraternity.

A special thank you to the Indianapolis contractors and vendors for their hard work and dedication in making Sig Tau’s new headquarters in Indianapolis: Jon Robinson, President and Brett Rose, Project Manager of Capitol Construction Services, Inc.; Zach Jones of CBRE; John A. Albrecht, Principal and Amanda Clark, RID of DKGR Architectural Design Studio; Michael Fleming of Commercial Office Environments; and Ross Nixon, PE of American Structure Point, Inc.
