WARRENSBURG, MISSOURI – Collegiate Services Coordinator, Steve Young, Central Missouri has departed the Sigma Tau Gamma Headquarters Staff . Young has been a part of Headquarters Staff since May 2016 and has served in both part-time and full-time roles.

Young started his time on staff in 2016 as Communications Coordinator, where he assisted the Communications Department with telling the stories of chapters and their members for the SAGA Monthly and SAGA Magazine. Upon his graduation from the University of Central Missouri, Young transitioned into the role of Collegiate Services Coordinator. Most notably helping the Indiana State Chapter grow from six active members to nearly 20 in just two semesters.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on the Sig Tau HQ and will absolutely miss working with these wonderful people. I know everyone will continue to contribute amazing things to this organization,” Young said. “I am sad to be leaving but, I have decided to pursue career opportunities in the Kansas City, Missouri area which is close to home. I am looking for a position within my field of study, marketing. I truly enjoyed my position and know that my successor will enjoy the experience as well.”

While serving as the Collegiate Services Coordinator, Young was not only able to assist chapters through weekly coaching calls, but was also able to visit Sig Tau Chapters at Indiana State, Nevada-Reno, Illinois, Oklahoma State, Southeastern Oklahoma, Penn State Erie, Buffalo, and William Woods University.

Director of Collegiate Services Adam Kowalski commented on Young’s departure, “Steve Young has been a tremendous asset to our team as we transitioned our team and base of operations to Indianapolis. I know that he will be destined for success in his future endeavors and he will surely be missed on our staff.”

Chief Executive Officer Steve Latour remarked, “I will truly appreciate the contributions that he brought to the HQ team. I also know that Indiana State and the other chapters he developed a relationship with have benefited greatly from his coaching. I look forward to seeing Steve at future national programs as a volunteer facilitator.”
