Larger Facility Secured for Illinois Chapter
July 24, 2018
CHAMPAIGN, ILLINOIS – Sigma Tau Gamma is excited to announce the WPN Housing Company has secured a larger chapter facility for the Alpha Chi Chapter at the University of Illinois at Urbana – Champaign to move into this academic year.
The property located at 1204 S. Lincoln is nestled close to multiple Greek organizations including Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta Women’s Fraternity, and Farmhouse Fraternity. The three-story Tudor style chapter facility is nearly 18,000 square feet, complete with study rooms, a television room, a full-sized commercial kitchen and a dining annex. Director of WPN Housing Kayla Hagerty is elated about this opportunity for the chapter.
“This facility is going to be an incredible opportunity for the members of Sigma Tau Gamma. Having this will allow the chapter to continue to flourish, provide an even stronger opportunity to deepen the brotherhood and become an even more prominent chapter on campus. I’m excited for the brothers to enjoy this new space together,” Hagerty said.
Alpha Chi Chapter President Tim Flemke is looking forward to the various ways the chapter can use the house.
“We are excited about the tangible benefits of the house. The ability to house the entire chapter in a beautiful facility that has space for any event we can think of will be a wonderful opportunity,” Flemke said. “Being able to hold recruitment events in the house will give us an edge that we could only have dreamed of in earlier recruitment seasons.”
Move-in for the chapter is scheduled for this August before classes begin on August 27, 2018.
