Meet The Presidents – Tyler Nichols, Colorado

Published on January 28, 2020 in News

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – The second noble man we meet serving as chapter president is Tyler Nichols, Colorado. Tyler was initiated into the Zeta Psi Chapter in 2019. Before being elected Chapter President, he previously served his chapter as the Director of Recruitment.

Meet Tyler Nichols, Colorado

Q: You will be the chapter president to bring your chapter into year 100 of Sig Tau – can you speak to what this means to you?

A: There are only a few brothers at this time in our Fraternity’s history that will be able to say that they served as the chapter president. This is not only an accomplishment for the fraternity, but it is also a great time for our chapter.

Q: What does being a noble man and living a life of Principle mean to you?

A: Being a noble man in today’s world means a lot to me. I have always believed in holding myself to a higher standard than most. I believe in living a life of purpose and principle. I believe that many people have become lost in today’s world, and they tend to become lost and lose their principles that they hold themselves to. Being in the Fraternity is a reminder of living a life of Principle. To me, it means living the best possible life that we can and being the best that we can be.

Q: What are you most looking forward to this semester in your role and with your chapter and what has been your favorite part so far?

A: Our chapter is only two years old; it is an exciting time and opportunity to get to lead a chapter that is so new. I really look forward to seeing how the chapter will grow and what the guys will do to become more involved. We are in the process of growing our chapter and setting the traditions of our chapter. All the new members continue to bring new energy to the chapter and have really grown the Brotherhood. Even in the first month, I have seen so many guys get more involved because of what the chapter has done for them.

Q: Years from now, what do you hope your chapter brothers feel about your time as president?

A: I hope that they will be able to say that this was a turning point in our chapter’s history, and this was the time that changed what the future of our fraternity looked like. I hope they will be able to say that our chapter was set up for success and will continue to do so as the years go on. I hope they will feel the same way I did about making our chapter the best it could be and a leading example of what a brotherhood of noble gentlemen should look like.
