2026 Earl A. Webb Academy of Principled Leaders
CARMEL, INDIANA – Leadership development is a crucial part of Sigma Tau Gamma, and the 2026 Earl A. Webb Academy of Principled Leaders was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when brothers come together with a shared purpose. From January 9-11, 2026, nearly 200 undergraduate leaders and alumni facilitators gathered to grow, learn, and prepare to lead their chapters with integrity.
What is Webb Academy?
The Earl A. Webb Academy of Principled Leaders, commonly known as Webb Academy, is Sigma Tau Gamma’s annual leadership program designed to prepare chapter officers for success in their roles and on their campuses. The program brings together executive cabinet members from each chapter and associate chapter, providing the time and space to sharpen leadership skills, establish officer and personal goals, and build a strong framework for chapter success.
Webb Academy’s curriculum focuses on executive cabinet responsibilities, chapter standards, operating procedures, and personal leadership development. Over three days of intensive programming, attendees engage with fellow undergraduate officers, Fraternity volunteers, and Headquarters Staff, all while strengthening the bonds of brotherhood that define Sig Tau.
Webb Academy 2026
The 2026 Webb Academy equipped chapter presidents, directors of recruitment, and directors of finance & operations with the tools and confidence needed to serve their chapters and campus communities in their new officer roles. Through officer-specific tracks, collaborative activities, and facilitated discussions, chapter officers gained tools and resources they can use within their own chapters. Seven undergraduate men joined the Collegiate Sustaining Member Program, ensuring future generations of noble men have the same opportunity.

Devin Meyers, Southeast Missouri ’25 – Director of Recruitment
“Webb academy opened my eyes to what really goes on behind the scenes to make Sigma Tau Gamma and every individual chapter run. It was a pleasure to meet Sig Tau’s from across the nation, to engage in workshops and fellowship.
I will never forget celebrating the Bears comeback with Noah Phillips. I will never forget having breakfast with Society of the Seventeen member, and SEMO alumnus Tom Wood. I will never forget Angel Gonzales sponsoring me to become a Collegiate Sustaining Member. I will never forget Addison Schopp’s quote ‘There are men on your campus who need fraternity now more than ever, who need a community, and it is your job to find those men.’ I’ve taken this message to heart and spread it with my chapter, and as directors of recruitment it falls on our hands to ensure we build noble men for generations to come. I will never forget my time and life lessons learned at Webb Academy.”
Alex Hart, Nebraska at Kearney ’16 – Lead Recruitment Facilitator
“Fraternity growth is my full-time occupation and what I do daily, but being surrounded by my brothers at Webb Academy is different. Its powerful. I do believe that the true spirit of fraternalism is a thing that grows, and nothing captures that more than Webb Academy.
Webb Academy brought me joy and laughter as well as time to reflect. Catching up with old friends, meeting new ones, and being inspired by the next generation of leaders left me feeling incredibly fulfilled. I’m proud of my fraternity and look forward to watching each chapter continue to grow. Our future is bright as we are well positioned to continue to grow our fraternity and positively impact our communities across the country.”
A Legacy Rooted in Brotherhood and Service
Webb Academy has a meaningful history within Sigma Tau Gamma. Originally launched in 1985 as Presidents’ Bootcamp as a nod to the military backgrounds of the Fraternity’s Founders, it was the first program of its kind offered by any national fraternity to train chapter officers. In the 1990s, it became Presidents’ Academy, and in 2011, the program was officially renamed to honor Earl A. Webb, Central Missouri ’38.
Earl Webb, often referred to as “Mr. Sig Tau,” served Sigma Tau Gamma for more than 60 years. Elected National President at the Fraternity’s 30th Anniversary Grand Conclave in 1950, his lifelong commitment to leadership, service, and brotherhood left a lasting legacy. Webb Academy stands as a tribute to his belief that every officer deserves to be fully prepared to lead.

Looking Ahead to Webb Academy 2027
As Sigma Tau Gamma continues to evolve its leadership development experiences, the Fraternity is excited to return to Indianapolis, Indiana, in 2027 for the next Earl A. Webb Academy of Principled Leaders. With each year, the program continues to grow and develop principled leaders who are ready to strengthen their chapters, their campuses, and Sigma Tau Gamma.
