Eleven Declare Candidacy for Fraternity Board of Directors

Eleven brothers declared candidacy for election to the Board of Directors of Sigma Tau Gamma by the January 31, 2014 deadline. They will vie for four Member-at-Large positions. Delegates to the July 31-August 3, 2014 Grand Chapter in New Orleans, LA will elect the Board.

Three of the Board candidates have also declared their candidacies for the office of president-elect. The brother elected in New Orleans will become national president in August 2016 after serving a two year term as president-elect.

Brothers running for President-elect (in alphabetical order) are James Johnston, CMF, Jonathan Proehl, NMF, and Michael Ray, NMF. All are currently on the Board of Directors.

James Johnston is an alumnus of Delta Xi Chapter at Carnegie Mellon University, class of 2001. He is in his second term on the Board of Directors and served six years as a regional vice president. Johnston is a Celebrated Morris Fellow (CMF) in the Wilson C. Morris Fellowship donor recognition program. More: Johnston declaration.

Jonathan Proehl is an alumnus of Gamma Nu Chapter at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls, class of 1999. He is in his third term on the Board of Directors and served four years as a regional vice president. Proehl is a Notable Morris Fellow (NMF). More: Proehl declaration.

Michael Ray is an alumnus of Beta Gamma Chapter at Youngstown State University, class of 2001. He is in his second term on the Board of Directors. He served two years as a district director, two years as a regional vice president and four years on the Fraternity staff. Ray is a Notable Morris Fellow (NMF). More: Ray declaration.

Candidates for the office of President-elect may also run for the office of Member-at-Large. All three candidates have chosen to do so. Drew Allen is an alumnus of Gamma Omega Chapter at Baylor University, class of 2006. He served three years as a district director and two years as a regional vice president. Allen is a Notable Morris Fellow (NMF). More: Allen declaration.

Dean Anderson is an undergraduate member of Beta Theta Chapter at Purdue University, class of 2015. He served in the office of Vice President of Membership and as Southern Regional Conclave intern. Anderson is a Collegiate Sustaining Member (CSM). More: Anderson declaration.

Jeremy Daus is an alumnus of Gamma Nu Chapter at the University of Wisconsin River Falls, class of 2002. He served four years as a district director and four years as a regional vice president. Daus is a Notable Morris Fellow (NMF). More: Daus declaration.

Douglas Haman is an alumnus of Delta Rho Chapter at Miami University, class of 1995. Haman is in his second term on the Board of Directors. He served on the Fraternity staff for two years. Haman is a Celebrated Morris Fellow (CMF). More: Haman declaration.

Philip Jeanfreau is an alumnus of Phi Chapter at Southeastern Louisiana University, class of 1999. He served two years as a district director and four years as a regional vice president. Jeanfreau is a Wilson C. Morris Fellow (WCMF). More: Jeanfreau declaration.

Jeremiah King is an alumnus of Alpha Omega Chapter at Missouri University of Science and Technology, class of 2006. He served one year as a district director and four years as a regional vice president. King is a Wilson C. Morris Fellow (WCMF). More: King declaration.

Clint McCurry is an alumnus of Delta Chapter at Emporia State University, class of 2001. He served two years as a district director and four years on the Fraternity staff. McCurry is a Wilson C. Morris Fellow (WCMF). More: McCurry declaration.
