Sigma Tau Gamma Foundation Helps Provide Scholarship for Principle Awards

Published on February 9, 2021 in News

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – Sigma Tau Gamma Headquarters is proud to announce every individual undergraduate award now has a scholarship associated with it.

The Principle Awards (Learning, Integrity, Excellence, Leadership, Citizenship, Brotherhood) were introduced in 2017 at Endeavor Minneapolis and have become a staple award. For each of these awards, recipients must exemplify the qualities of the specific Principle in their everyday life. Due to the success of this past #GivingTuesday, beginning this year, each recipient will also receive a $500 scholarship. Including the Principle Awards, $10,500 is tied to awards and scholarships that will be given out to deserving undergraduates this year.

Board of Trustees Member and Foundation Grants Committee Chairman Mike Van Camp, Indiana State, acknowledges the dedication undergraduates have shown by continuing to uphold our Principles in an unprecedented year.

“I love the opportunity to recognize the hard work our noble men are doing on our grandest stages. With great honor, the committee has recently approved the financial support of the Principle Awards Grants. The treasures raised by the contributions of our loyal donors make these grants possible. Although only a few will ultimately receive these distinct recognitions, all of the Foundation donors should be proud of the ability to impact and improve the collegiate experience for our undergraduate Brothers!”
