Arizona State (Zeta Alpha) Charters

September 3, 2015 – On August 30, 2015, the Zeta Alpha Chapter at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona held their Chartering Ceremony at ASU’s Karsten’s Golf Course and welcomed 65 brothers to Sigma Tau Gamma. Family members of Brothers and alumni joined for the special occasion including Chief Executive Officer Steve Latour, National President Alyx Parker, Illinois ’94, Vice President of the Foundation Shawn Kelley, UW-River Falls ’93, Foundation Trustee Joe Feldhouse, Cleveland State ’57, and Director of Member and Organizational Development Erik Kahl, UW-La Crosse ’07.

Patrick Gotham to Join Headquarters Staff

The Sigma Tau Gamma Foundation welcomes Patrick Gotham, Salisbury ‘09, as its new Director of Advancement. He will assist the CEO in setting the Foundation’s strategy for soliciting monthly, annual, and capital campaign contributions, which includes estate planning, undergraduate giving, parents and family members, alumni donor acquisition, gift solicitation, and stewardship.

Bernier Elected to NIC Board

CEO Emeritus William P. (Bill) Bernier, Kent State ‘70, was elected to a two year term on the NIC Board of Directors. The election occurred on April 20, at the NIC Annual Meeting in Kansas City. Eight interfraternity leaders serve on the NIC Board.

Huck Departs Staff

Communications & Merchandise Coordinator, Elissa Huck, has announced her departure from the Sigma Tau Gamma Headquarters Staff. She departs the staff to accept a Public Relations position with Black Twig Communications in St. Louis, MO.

Uebelhor Departs Staff

Collegiate Services Coordinator, Austin Uebelhor, Gamma Phi ’11, has announced his departure from the Sigma Tau Gamma Headquarters Staff. He departs the staff to accept a position as a Research Assistant with the Indiana University Center for Aging Research in Indianapolis, Indiana.

William Woods Provisional Chapter Installed

Sigma Tau Gamma conducted the Ceremony of Installation at William Woods University on April 1, 2015. The William Woods provisional chapter associated 12 new members. Later in the semester, the chapter will welcome family, friends, students, and university administrators to join them for a reception and introduction to campus. This is the first time Sigma Tau Gamma has had a provisional chapter at William Woods University.

Northwest Missouri State Re-Chartered

On Sunday, March 15, the Theta Chapter at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri held their Re-Chartering Ceremony, welcoming 33 brothers into Sigma Tau Gamma. There were more than 90 people in attendance at the Re-Chartering Ceremony, including Theta Chapter Alumni and more than two dozen parents and family members.
