144th Chapter Chartered At Florida Tech.

On Saturday, February 28, National President, Alyx Parker presented a charter to 54 members of the Epsilon Omega Chapter at the Florida Institute of Technology. Florida Tech. is the 144th chapter charted in the 95-year history of Sigma Tau Gamma.

Kaimann Departs Staff

Director of Expansion Derek Kaimann, Beta ’09, has announced his departure from the Sigma Tau Gamma Headquarters Staff.
Kaimann joined the Headquarters staff in 2011 as an Expansion Counselor, and from 2011-2013 co-led recruitment efforts for many of the most successful expansions in the Fraternity’s history. During his time as an expansion Counselor, Kaimann helped lead on-campus recruitment efforts at UNC Charlotte, Florida Tech, Winona State, Purdue, Illinois, Alabama, Auburn, Carnegie Mellon, and Oklahoma State.

Coinciding with the Thanksgiving Holiday and the kickoff of the holiday shopping season, #GivingTuesday will inspire people to take collaborative action to improve their local communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they support and help create a better world.

CEO Bill Bernier Honored with Official Portrait

On Saturday, November 1, more than a dozen brothers in the Chicago area gathered along with National President Alyx Parker, Illinois ’97, Foundation Chairman Tom Janicki, Carnegie Mellon ‘74, and the Fraternity’s Board of Directors to present Bill Bernier, Kent State ’71, with his official portrait. The portrait was commissioned by the Fraternity’s Board of Directors and will be displayed at the Marvin Millsap Sigma Tau Gamma Headquarters in Warrensburg, Missouri.

Washington State Provisional Chapter Installed

Sigma Tau Gamma conducted the Ceremony of Installation at Washington State University on October 11, 2014. The Washington State University provisional chapter initiated 55 new members and welcomed family, friends, students and university administrators to watch the ceremony. This is the first time Sigma Tau Gamma has had a provisional chapter at Washington State University.

2014 William P. Bernier Grand Chapter Award Winners

Brothers met to honor CEO, William Bernier, and decide upon some of the most important issues of the Fraternity. We also took the time to recognize outstanding individual and chapter achievements.

2014 Ellsworth C. Dent “Man of the Year” Finalists

Selection of the five finalist is based upon a number of criteria, including leadership, extracurricular activities, scholastic achievement, and service to college and chapter. The winner will be selected by the Society of Seventeen after interviews at the William P. Bernier Grand Chapter in New Orleans this August.
