Chapter Advisory Teams
The Chapter Advisory Team is the primary body responsible for mentoring, coaching and guiding the undergraduate chapter officers. To limit liability and access to potential assets and risks, The Advisory Team of each chapter operates separately from the Alumni Association.
The Lead Advisor, appointed by Headquarters Staff, serves a two-year term that runs in conjunction with the timing of Grand Conclave. The Lead Advisor is vetted and appointed by Headquarters Staff, after which, they are assisted by Staff to recruit and build the additional team of advisors.
Lead Advisor Expectations & Responsibilities
To ensure consistency for both the Advisory Team and chapter, the terms of the Chapter Advisory Team should be staggered. There are no limits on the number of terms an advisor may serve. With the exception of the Lead Chapter Advisor role, the functions of the Advisory Teams require a nominal time commitment of 4-6 hours per month.
The additional advisors on the Chapter Advisory Team and their responsibilities include:
- Education Advisor
- Faculty/Scholarship Advisor
- Finance & Operations Advisor
- Member Engagement Advisor
- Recruitment Advisor
- Safety and Standards Advisor
- Parent/Family Member Advisor
